Since sugar is so addictive, and if you really want to get over this addiction, DON"T try to have a little taste of a cookie or brownie, or caramel sweetened latte - It will always trigger the desire for more. I tried that "head" game for awhile!!! It doesn't work. You cannot have a little bit of sugar - You have to tell your addicted mind that this stuff is like a drug and will destroy your health if it hasn't caused problems already. HOW MANY GRAMS OF SUGAR TO HAVE PER DAY?

It's recommended by the America Heart Association that:
Women have only 25 grams of sugar a day.
Men - 36-38 grams
Children - less than 15 grams
Children under 2 - No added sugar

It's better to only have naturally sweet foods like fruit - but not too much. Having too much fruit on a daily basis, isn't a great habit to get into either.
